Photos & Songs
The Maryka's Treasures CD contains 15 songs:
The first song is called Canadian Pride, a march where the children imagine they are in Ukrainian costumes like Ukrainian dancers. Children wave flags and sing along; proud to be Canadian.
Children learn to say Metelyk – Butterfly, and do a butterfly dance with Maryka!
It’s Gotta Be Borscht; a high energy song reminding us to eat healthy. Baba’s kitchen is the best!
God is a Good God has a dance along beat that inspires us to appreciate all the blessings in our lives, and remember how much God loves us.
Princess & the Prince features a mean witch who casts a spell on the unsuspecting princess. Of course, the handsome prince awakens her, they fall in love, get married and live happily ever after.
Children Grow So Fast is a lyrical piece in which Maryka tries to capture the mystery of how it is that yesterday children were small and today they are grown.
Harmony in the Family is a long time Ukrainian waltz favourite. Maryka has evolved it into a rock and roll, high energy song that encourages us to welcome God into our family to guide us.
Our Father Calls is an echo song encouraging us to sing along in response to the call to come be with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The message in the Rap song, Wise John is to be a polite little frog... or you’ll get eaten by the crocodile!
Ukrainian Dance Melody is a favourite folk song arranged with contemporary instruments and a funky beat.
“What Can I Do?” is the question we ask Jesus each day. In this song, we get the answer: love, live, share, care, teach and forgive.
In Instruments Ring children play bells, sticks, violins, guitars, and drums. They keep the beat and give glory to God.
Praise God is a joyful song with a conga beat that welcomes us to be with God and pray to Him.
Jesus Says Come is arranged as jubilant Ukrainian Dance, remeinding us that all we need is provided for us in God’s love.
We Celebrate reminds us that over 2000 years ago, Christianity came to man in the birth of Christ and continues to live in us.
